2025 Huracan Results
The HuRaCaN 300 is a challenge. The goal is to finish. Everyone who finishes has completed the challenge and is victorious. What you see below is the order in which they finished. Riders are required to not miss any part of the course and submit 6 checkpoint photos. No part of the course that has been provided can be missed or skipped. We do allow a small error rate of .5% as long as the portion of the course missed did not provide an advantage. We also allow forgiveness of 2 photo checkpoints in an effort to be fair and kind. Even though the course is provided and riders have GPS, navigation can still be challenging. As this is not a traditional “race,” The course is not marked, and there are requirements to be considered successful that are not required in other types of races. If these requirements seem too difficult, perhaps riders should consider taking on challenges that have course markers and do not require checkpoints. At the end of the day, this is all for fun, and the only prize is the Journey that you had while you were out there. Appreciate your participation and hope to see everyone soon.
Note regarding results:
Results are based on Data gathered and reported by the riders and verified using Trackleaders and gpx data. Riders choosing not to be on Trackleaders are also choosing not to be scored and may have participated in the event and do not show up in the Results. If there is a discrepancy, email me at karlos@singletracksamurai.com, and I will adjust. Riders with an asterisk indicate that they got a time bonus; the ghost trail bonus was 3 hours for OG and 400 riders. Lite riders could get up to a 1 hour and 40 minute time bonus if they completed both Wekiva and radar hill.

Finished but not scored
In order for riders to be scored, they must complete 99.5% of the course without missing any part of the route. If riders fall within the 90% completion rate, the route is considered finished and counts for something like a samurai cross(if applicable) but are not reported in the finishing order because it would not be fair to compare their times to the riders who stayed within the .5% error rate. In some cases, riders did stay within the error rate but did not meet the minimum checkpoint photo requirements as outlined in the rules of the challenge.
