The Spring to Spring Tour is your chance to take the long way across Ocala National Forest exploring springs, prairies and one of Florida’s biggest and most beautiful pine scrub forests. This 3 day 2 night semi supported tour will start and end at Barberville Pioneer Settlement. We’ll load up your luggage and transport it to the campsite, leaving you unencumbered to enjoy the ride. We’ll visit remote swimming holes and some of the most beautiful and pristine springs that the forest has to offer and at the end of the day you can relax around the campfire with a much deserved cold beverage of your choice. The terrain will consist mainly of clay forest roads with some hidden and abandoned grassy double track. The route is hilly in some spots but rewarding and there are some sandy areas so the wider the tire you can run, the easier you may find it. The average distance per day will be 45 miles, giving us time to swim in remote areas, enjoy the vast open views of the prairies and the unique features of the forest. The cost of this ride is $300 and will include a knowledgeable guide and staff, 2 dinners (pizza and BBQ), 2 breakfasts (bagels and coffee - coffee at the campsites can't be had until the stores open at 8am so if you need coffee early, bring your own setup!), 2 picnic lunches (cold cuts), a support vehicle, luggage transfer, 2 nights at campgrounds (remember your tent) and adult beverages in the evening while they last! There will be a limited amount of support on this ride so if you want something specific to eat or drink, you should bring it yourself. We will also not be providing rest stops during the ride other than a limited lunch stop each day. There will be convenience stores and other shops along the way so bringing $20-$40 per day to keep yourself stocked up would be a good idea. This is the second running of this tour and there is a 50 participant limit. Sign up soon, this one fills up fast.
